ASEEES Individual Membership
The Association has approximately 3,300 members in the U.S. and abroad. Individual members come primarily from the academic community, as well as from the government and private sectors, but membership is open to anyone interested in furthering the scholarly objectives of the ASEEES.

Members who prefer to submit the paper membership form and pay their dues by check or credit card can download the membership form and send it in by mail, fax, or email.

Membership Categories and Dues
Select your dues based on your gross annual income category. (All amounts in US Dollars.)
Pay two years at once! Effective 2015, we are accepting two years' dues at once—make one payment, and have your membership extend two full years.

Joint memberships are available for a fee of $45 ($90 for two years) in addition to the membership fee of the primary regular member; joint members do not receive duplicate publications and are not eligible for ASEEES grants or First Book subvention. Student and affiliate members are not eligible to have a joint member.
If you live in Eastern Europe/Eurasia and have a gross annual income less than US $30,000, you may qualify for a special reduced dues rate. See Membership for Permanent Residents in Eastern Europe & Eurasia for details. (Scholars from the region temporarily resident elsewhere, and scholars from elsewhere temporarily resident in the region, are not eligible for this offer.)
NOTE: For 2024, ASEEES is offering free membership to scholars and graduate students who are Ukrainian citizens and currently residing in Ukraine or displaced outside of Ukraine due to Russia's war on Ukraine. For more information and to apply, click HERE.
Lifetime Membership
Become a lifetime member and never have to worry about lapses in membership again. A portion of the dues will be considered a contribution to the ASEEES Fund, which is tax deductible and a great way to support the Association.
Membership dues: $2,800 ($2,300 counted as contribution to the ASEEES Fund): pay in one payment online or using the membership form; for an installment option of quarterly 4 payments of $700, please contact the ASEEES office.
To Receive a print copy of Slavic review starting with 2024 volume
Starting with the 2024 volume, Slavic Review will become a digital journal with a new design and digital features. ASEEES members will continue to have access to the current issues, as well as the full run of Slavic Review, on Cambridge Core.
A limited number of print copies will be available for an additional charge:
To ship to a US address - add $55 per year (4 issues)
To ship to a non-US address - add $65 per year (4 issues)

* Membership dues and Slavic Review print copy payments are non-refundable.
Membership Duration
ASEEES membership runs a calendar year—January 1 to December 31. All membership expires on December 31 of a given year regardless of when you joined during the year. If you join mid-year and would like to receive the publications you have missed since January, please Contact Us.
